![]() Release Letter and Allocation Information Thank you for your interest in supporting Neal Family Vineyards and becoming a part of our ever-growing customer base. As part of our ongoing effort to apprise our loyal customers of upcoming vintages, we will be issuing two annual Release Letters for our Cabernet Sauvignon and other limited production wines. Each Release Letter will be mailed a few months prior to the release of the wine. Please keep in mind that release dates are solely determined by when we believe the wines are ready and not by a pre-designated calendar date. Each Release Letter will have a personal allocation tailored to your purchase history, and this allocation will remain effective for 60 days. If, at any time, you would like to increase your allocation, it may be indicated on your allocation form and mailed to the winery. All requested changes to your allocation will be recorded on your Customer History profile with the winery. All orders are accepted by the winery on a first come first serve basis. Our first Release Letter of the vintage year will provide information about our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine profiled in this letter is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, a blend from nine carefully selected vineyards all located in the Napa Valley. At your request, you will be placed on our mailing list and will receive a Release Letter for our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. You will remain on this list for up to two mailings without any purchase required. However, with the purchase of your minimum allocation of wine from our winery, you will be placed on the waiting list for our highly anticipated Vineyard Designates, which will be profiled in our second mailing of the vintage year. Our second Release Letter of the vintage year will provide information about our Vineyard Designates. The wine profiled in this letter will be hand-selected from specific vineyards. I, along with Gove and Kelly, have selected six of the nine vineyards for the 2002 vintage offered in the Vineyard Designate package for the fall release. The selected Vineyard Designates are producing wines that have developed unique qualities for the vintage. We identify these qualities by tasting through each barrel and selecting only those wines that “sing to us”, as Gove likes to put it. We strive to select only the best and most unique wines through this exacting process and, as a result, our Designates can change from one year to another. As you may be aware, we only had two candidates for the 2001 vintage: Howell Mountain Estate and Second Chance Vineyard on Atlas Peak. Please be advised that we sell these wines strictly based on the customer relationship that you have established with the winery. For those customers on the list who do not elect to purchase at this time, we ask you to understand that your name will be removed from the Vineyard Designate Release List so that a new customer who wishes to purchase at this time may advance from the waiting list. If you would like to receive future release mailings, please join our customer list by following this link and entering your contact information into the on-line form. If you are interested in purchasing wines that are currently available, you may do so by going back to the How to Order page and downloading an order form. Once again, thanks for your support.
